What is true love? Does it exist?
Contrary to the anatomy referenced in all our favorite love songs, love is not rooted in the heart, but in the brain.
By better understanding how the brain falls in love, we can learn about why the brain can get so obsessed with this powerful emotion. In fact, some scientists even see love as kind of addiction.
Thomas Insel and his colleagues at Emory university discovered that monogamous pair bonding has it's basis in the same brain reward circuits that are responsible for addiction to drugs such as cocaine and heroin. Their study was conducted in the prairie vole, a small rodent that mates for life. But the conclusions are probably true for humans too, which may explain why it is so hard to break up a long-term romantic relationship.
Losing someone you love is like going through withdrawal.
And remember, even if love is an illusion,
that doesn't mean it's not meaningful and real.

well...I believe theres more to it than sience:)) but the hard part is to understand you never can own someone, I love "my" man, but he´s never mine for real.
ReplyDeleteI believe, you can find your soulmate over and over again, depending on where you stand in life.
When i promise to love someone in sickness and in health etc, thats from that exact point Im standing, right there in that part of my life.
ten years later, I may be a totally different person, and my soulmate is no longer the one for me.
All we have in the end, is our selfes. I love, life, I love "Love" it self, when love is around, theres no place for any bad feelings at all...
For me personally, Love is something divine. All other feelings comes from a thought in my head such as fear, anger, or unsecurity but Love....you cant decide if you want to "stop" to love someone, or decide to" fall in love", Love is the only feeling that you cant control:)) Thats a gift from God I believe.
