Selfmatter

Thank you all for the Live Chat today, it was over 3500 people writing to me, so I am so sorry i could not answer you all :(

Statistics indicate that most people are tremendously confined by life circumstance that they inherit, totally ignoring whether this is a life they would have chosen.
this major set of factors shapes what you are:

External Factors: You can trace who you have become in this life by 10 defining moments, 7 critical choices and 5 pivotal people. You can not change these moments, choices, people. But once acknowledge you can begin to work on changing your future!

Internal Factors:
The external factors we have no control over our internal factors are made up of our reactions to the event in our life. Since this reaction happens within us, we have the power to change them.

Defining Moments:
Every person's life there has been moments both positive and negative that have defined and redefined who you are. Those events entered your consciousness with such power that they changed the very core of whom and what you thought you were.

Critical Choices:
These have changed your life positively or negatively and are major factors in determining who and what you will become. They are the choices that have affected your life today and have set you on a path.

Pivotal People:
These are people who have left indelible impression on your concept of self and therefore the life you live. They may be family members, friends or co-workers. Their influences can be either positive or negative. They are people who can determine whether you live with your authentic self or instead live a counterfeit life controlled by a fictional self that has crowded out who you really are.

Internal Dialogue:
Continuous conversation you have with yourself about everything that happens to you.

Labeling:
People tend to organize things into categories. We even categorize other people by labeling them into groups, classes or functions. But we also label ourselves for better or worse these labels have a powerful impact on our perceptions of self because we tend to live the categories we have attached to ourselves.

Tapes:
These are beliefs that have become so deeply ingrained that they play automatically in our heads and influence our behavior without our awareness. Unlike labels
(I never win) Tapes have context Ex: I won't get the promotion because I never win.
Tapes are dangerous and potentially self-defeating because they have the power to set you up for a specific outcome.

Fixed Beliefs/Limited Beliefs:
Fixed beliefs are the beliefs we hold about ourselves, others and life circumstances that have been repeated for so long they have become ingrained and are difficult to change. Limited beliefs are the beliefs we have about ourselves that limit what we reach for and achieve.

Today's Wisdom:

"You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give"

Love Always Anna Anka
