Stepping out of the action is the smartest thing to do today. No matter how much your passions are stirred by an injustice you witness, you simply have no place in this fight. Let the people who are involved handle this by themselves. Be content that you believe what you believe, and that you live consistently with those beliefs. You can't change how other people operate -- it's a sad fact, but it's true.
